War Horse : Cinematic
War Horse's cinematic aspect was outstanding! The cinematography of the movie had me wanting more of it after every single scene. The camera angles that they had setup for each scene was perfect. You could see everything in the background and still be focused on the main characters. I especially liked the camera angles for when Joey ("War Horse") was stuck in the middle of the battlefield. You could see the whole war setting where no one was suppose survive and then all you see is Joey stuck in the middle, alive. The lighting for the movie was amazing. You can clearly see everyone's face in the dark and cloudy scenes. A scene that showed the lighting work was when two German boy's found Joey and his companion. They ran away from the army and went into hiding in a dimly lit windmill. The light was coming through a small window, but you could see all the detail in the room. The floor and hay, their faces and clothes, it was all visible and clear. The music and sound effects used in the movie were very clear and matching every scene. The bombs and guns sound very realistic like you were at an actual war. The music perfectly matched the scene. The music used during the reunion of Joey and his owner Albert was very comforting and happy at the same time, it was just an amazing movie.

Election Day
How is Election Day determined? Which Day?
- In the United States the national election day is determined by the federal law and not the constitution. National elections always occur on the Tuesday following the first Monday of November every even year.
-Election Day is considered a civic holiday in Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
Why is it on Tuesday?
-Election day is on tuesday because elections in the 1840's were generally held at county seats, and people in the outlying areas would have to travel from theirs farms into town to vote. Tuesday was chosen because people could start their travels on Monday, and thus avoiding traveling on Sunday sabbath.

Far and Away
Far and Away can show us what immigration and industrialization was like in America in the 1890's compared to Ireland.
This is a picture of Irish potato farmers who were experiencing the affect of the potato famine and poverty that was overcoming Ireland. It was for this reason that they immigrated to America.
This is a picture of Irish men working on the railroads of America. It shows the progression and industrialization of America compared to Ireland's farms

My Native American Name
Lighthearted Rabbit
I chose to be called Lighthearted Rabbit because I am a very cheerful person and I am almost always carefree. The reason for the rabbit is because they are kind and gentle, they have a calming presence to them and they don't seem to do much, but they do a lot and some might not notice it. Like me, I am very quiet, but that doesn't mean I don't have anything to say. I look like I don't do much or show that I don't do much, but I try my best to get things done.
